VIDEO: Score Display Question

The score display question type lets you show the current score of the survey to the respondent. Surveys have to be more than one page to show a score. The score shown by Score Display is calculated from all previous pages in the survey.

Most question types have a default score applied to their answer choices, before you add a score display make sure your scoring has been set up as desired. For more on using scores see Scoring Surveys.

To add a score display:

  1. On a multi-page survey that is using scoring, drag and drop a score display from the Advanced Questions section of the palette to any page except the first page of your survey.
  2. Edit the Label as desired. By default the score display says “Your score so far: {{metas.weighted_score}}”. When editing, do not remove {{metas.weighted_score}} as this code is needed to display your score.
  3. Configure Display settings. See below for details.
  4. Save your survey.

When you preview your survey, a score is only be displayed if you have answered scored questions on previous pages, otherwise the {{metas.weighted_score}} placeholder code displays.
