Picture

The Picture question type allows respondents to choose one image from among a group of images.

To set up a picture question:

  1. Drag and drop a picture question from the Advanced Questions section of the palette to the canvas.
  2. Phrase your question in the Question Title and optionally add an Extra Description.
  3. By default the question has two choices. To add your image to one of these choices, click the choice and enter your Image URL or click Select to use a file uploaded to your library. You can also change the choice label, make it a Static Choice, give it a Score, or Code.
  4. Configure Display options. See below for details.
  5. Save your survey.

 

Display

SettingDescription
Show LabelAdds your labels to your choices.
Show Radio ButtonAdds a radio button to each image. Without this respondents will click on the image itself to choose it.
Max heightThe max height for each image. You need to add “px” or “%” after the number to specify image height in pixels or percent (e.g., 100px, 30%).
Max WidthThe max width for each image. You need to add “px” or “%” after the number to specify image width in pixels or percent (e.g., 100px, 30%).
AppearanceSelect how you would like your pictures to be arranged, Horizontal or Default (vertical).
Display side-by-sideDisplays the question on one half of the screen. In order for two questions to display side-by-side, you’ll have to enable this option for both questions. The first question will be on the left and the second on the right.
Append to previous questionUse this to make this question appear as if it’s part of the previous question.
Extra ClassesAdvanced option to define classes for custom javascript or CSS.

Options

SettingDescription
OptionalMakes question optional. Uncheck to make it required.
Randomize choicesShows answer choices a random order per respondent. Choices that are Static will not be affected by this setting.
Alphabetize choicesShows answer choices in alphabetical order of choice label. Choices that are Static will not be affected by this setting.
Initial ValueSelect an answer choice to be preselected.
