Displaying Two Questions as One

Combine two questions so that they display as one to your respondents with the Append to previous question display option. This feature lets you do things like append a text box question to any other to create a comment box on the question. Combined questions will continue to collect data as if they are two distinct questions.

To combine two questions so that they display as one:

  1. Add and arrange your questions.
  2. Select the question you want to append to the one above it. This question needs to be placed directly after the question you want to combine it with.
  3. Click the Options tab in your palette.
  4. Click Display and select Append to previous question.

Combined questions will only display as combined to respondents. To see how they look you can preview your survey by clicking the preview icon preview icon.

Moving a question with Append to previous question selected will cause it to append to a different question.
